A wedding at Kenwood Inn and Spa is always a treat, but this one was especially up my alley. Victoria and Jerry are the epitomy of my kind of couple. My tag line says my weddings are for “Active and Adventurous couples and their Rowdy friends”. This couple fit the bill and then some. Victoria is a police officer and a Jerry a fireman. So it’s safe to say they are public servants who like to have fun in their off time, and were able to pull of a heartfelt wedding ceremony with laughter and tears at one of wine country’s most elegant and refined locations.
Victoria and Jerry chose a first look that was private and emotional. I recommend it to all of my clients because the day passes so quickly and quiet moments alone can be hard to come by. It also saves time after the ceremony which allows you to join the cocktail hour and get started having fun on your wedding day. I love how playful this couple was together.
The courtyard at Kenwood Inn and Spa is filled with tons character and it’s very private. Once the party got started you can see that everyone felt right at home.
With most of the formalities out of the way the couple’s rowdy friends (my favorite kind) had a few surprises in store for them, and I was happy to be there to capture all the memories. The story behind Where’s Waldo and Santa Claus is not something I was privy to, but it sure allowed for some awesome shots!
