I loved so many things about Chris and Kari’s wedding… the location was phenomenal, a gorgeous Walnut Grove tucked back into the Tierra Rejada Ranch in Moorpark, CA. The ceremony being set right in the midst of the grove and the reception just off to the side surrounded by a large stone fireplace.
Also nearby the Walnut Grove is a cute little cabin room available for the bride to get ready in as well as keep hidden from arriving guests and her groom. Kari had a few of her touch ups done in this room where Tim captured this shot of her reflection in the mirror (one of his signature moves).
Before heading to the wedding Chris got ready at his parent’s home where I grabbed a couple candid shots of him prepping.
Check out the light coming into the Walnut Grove in these next few pictures. So gorgeous!
This was the most creative wedding guest sign-in “book” that I’ve ever seen. It started out as an empty tree, painted by an artist who I unfortunately don’t know the name of, and then the “leaves” are added on by each guests finger prints with their names written above. I so wish I had thought of this for our wedding!
Kari & Chris’s wedding color scheme of yellow and gray accented the Walnut Grove beautifully as you can see with her place cards and table center pieces below.
I love the elegant simplicity of this wedding, such a joy for us to capture! Definitely check out more on our Halberg Photographers Facebook Page.
Beautiful work! I love the place cards and seating chart! So unique! I also love the wedding party shot! Great use of light 🙂
Who’s the hottie in white!?
