Yosemite Wedding of Charlee and Daniel

Needless to say, Yosemite weddings are my favorite, and Charlee and Daniel’s Cathedral Beach nuptials are no different! I had a blast capturing this special moment between these two and those closest to them, and then exploring the park to get some great shots all the way until sunset.

Daniel and Charlee live in Missouri but wanted something a little different for their big day. They love hiking and the outdoors, so Yosemite was perfect. They even got engaged in the Smokey Mountains while hiking there.

Charlee had a long list of spots she wanted to hit, including Half Dome, the boardwalk to Yosemite Falls, El Capitan Meadow, Taft Point, and Glacier Point. I’d say we hit everything and got some rad shots along the way!

If you can’t find a good spot to take pictures in Yosemite, you’re doing something wrong. And a quick beach wedding with El Capitan in the background isn’t a bad way to enjoy one of the best views in the valley.⁣
We started in the valley and ended up in the high country – I couldn’t ask for a better day as a photographer! couple holding hands and walking in yosemitebride and groom looking at view in yosemite bride and groom embracing in yosemite bride and groom kiss in yosemite bride and groom on boardwalk in yosemite valley bride and groom kiss on boardwalk in yosemite valley bride and groom holding hands with half dome in the background bride and groom kiss with half dome in the backgroundbride and groom kiss in meadow with half dome in the background bride and groom embrace while looking at half dome bride and groom holding hands bride and groom stand on fallen tree in yosemite bride and groom standing on a mountain in yosemite bride and groom kiss on mountain side in yosemitebride and groom embrace on mountain side in yosemite bride and groom sitting on fallen tree in forest bride and groom sitting on fallen tree in yosemite bride walking in front of groom and looking back at him bride and groom hiking in yosemite

There’s nothing wrong with a little hike on your wedding day – the most common question I get is “where did they change???” – well, it turns out, most of my couples kick ass and hike in their wedding clothes.⁣ bride and groom looking out over taft pointbride and groom in front of taft point

Don’t visit Taft Point without spending at least half your time exploring – the legendary view is truly that – legendary. But there are mind boggling things to take in every time you move to a new spot up there. This is a view that’s easy to miss when on top, but it’s so dramatic in its own way that I can’t help but take a few minutes to play here with my couples!bride and groom standing in front of taft point view bride and groom at taft point during sunset bride and groom walking on rocks at sunset in yosemite bride and groom standing in front of the sunset at taft point bride and groom kissing in front of sunset in yosemitebride and groom standing on ledge at taft point
